This piece of art was made to emulate the essence of traditional Japanese comic book art and apply it to a digital medium, which allows for the best attributes of both to shine through this creation.

I dedicated a considerable amount of time trying to adapt this into something that features what I love about this art style and blend it with with my own creative expression. Incorporating certain effects such as the dots or crosshatching was made unproblematic due to it being drawn digitally.

An entirely custom idle animation fully drawn and animated for a personal passion project. Each asset was conceptualized with the ultimate goal of seamlessly integrating them into a cohesive and dynamic animation.

At the time of its creation, this was one of my most notable animations, showcasing a multitude of details that were incorporated to elevate its quality. Such features include the movement of the ears and shoes, the subtle eye glow, and the scarf being animated frame-by-frame.
